Naver WEBTOON, the Korean webtoon platform, is actively collaborating with Korea’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) and Interpol to combat manga piracy. As a result of their joint efforts, three major websites involved in the illegal distribution of English webtoons and manga are set to be taken down.
These three websites collectively received over 130 million visits annually, highlighting the seriousness of the piracy issue in the realm of digital content. This is a significant step towards protecting copyright and supporting the legal distribution of manga and webtoons!
